Digital technologies and online networks are radically reshaping our conceptions of what it means to be a learner. Dr. McLeod will lead us on a hands-on tour of the various technological and societal forces that will permanently transform how you think about student and adult learning. Of course all of this has implications for how we do “school” as well. Come ready to be an active participant and discussant!
Participants will:
Rethink intelligence and how we and our students learn
Consider how digital technologies can change how we ‘do school’
Experience a personal learning network
Learn to build student motivation through student-centric learning
Explore tools and structures necessary for schools to innovate
Each participant will need:
1. A laptop (a few will be available at the Prep Center)
2. A Gmail account (if you don’t have one, you need to set one up and bring your login/password)
