The EDRC will provide leadership and support for the initial preparation and extended professional learning of education professionals who work in P-12 settings. EDRC is the organizing structure for work across the college in support of the teaching, research, and outreach goals that are related to the preparation of P-12 educators, continuing education opportunities for school personnel, and partnerships with schools and community education programs.
This is a full-time, 12 month, annually renewable academic administrative (P&A) appointment.
Required Qualifications: Masters degree in education or a closely related field; Knowledge of education professional programs, including teacher preparation, educator development, and certificates (both degree and non-degree); Knowledge of the processes needed for accreditation and external program review processes; Successful leadership experience with program development in a higher education or P-12 setting.

Workshop Purpose: To provide a specific process for the District or School Staff Development Committee as they direct the planning, implementation and evaluation of staff development activities so that they positively impact student achievement as they enhance adult learning.
Goal: To provide the training and tools to enable the Staff Development Committee to operate effectively and efficiently and achieve its purpose successfully. Book and accompanying CD included. Planning time for developing implementation and evaluation activities included.
Expected Results: In-depth understanding of National Staff Development Council's Standards for Staff Development and the role of Innovation Configurations to move those Standards into all staff development; understanding of the role staff development plays in student learning; a shift in the approach of staff development from the "What" to the "Why" and "How"; the ability to design, implement and evaluate a staff development plan; an opportunity to coordinate to NSDC topics and developers into your work; have a system in place that gives the staff development committee confidence and allows the District/School to save time and money.
